Welcome Page

			Ours is an Orthodox Christian parish of Russian tradition serving Newcastle and the wider Hunter region. We are a parish of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia, a self-governing part of the Russian Orthodox Church. Established in 1952, ours is the oldest continuously-functioning Orthodox Church in the Hunter Valley.
			The next services in our church will be Matins at 6.00pm on Saturday 11 February 2012 and Divine Liturgy at 9.00am on Sunday 12 February 2012, the Sunday of the Prodigal Son (Íåäåëÿ î áëóäíåì ñûíå) and the day of commemoration of the Three Hierarchs (Òðåõ Ñâÿòèòåëåé). *Service times* As of February 2010, we generally have Divine Liturgy at 9.00am on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, with Matins at 6.00pm the preceding Saturday evening.
